The Heart of Manor Court
The leadership of Manor Court is guided by a dedicated Board of Directors and Executive Team who share a strong commitment to resident-centred care, good governance and the long-term success of our organisation.

Drawing on diverse professional backgrounds and extensive experience across health, aged care, business and community leadership, our Board and Executive Team provide strategic direction and oversight to ensure Manor Court continues to deliver safe, high-quality care. Guided by our values and a deep commitment to the Werribee community, they work together to support our residents, families, staff and the future of Manor Court.
Introducing our CEO
Ric Ellis, Chief Executive Officer
Ric is an experienced executive leader with more than 25 years of leadership across aged care, community services, not-for-profit organisations and business operations. He has held senior executive and CEO roles across national aged care and wellbeing organisations, leading teams through periods of growth, change and innovation.Â
​
Ric holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) and is passionate about building strong, values-driven organisations that place people, compassion and community at the centre of care. He brings extensive experience in governance, strategic leadership, stakeholder engagement and operational management.Â
​
Known for his approachable and genuine leadership style, Ric is committed to ensuring Manor Court continues to feel like home for residents, families and staff alike. Outside of work, he enjoys the outdoors, sport and spending time with his family.Â
Meet Our Board of Directors
Callum Scott
Co-chair
Callum migrated to Australia from Scotland in 1986 and has built a diverse career spanning education, military service, academia and finance.
Â
He served as a Flight Lieutenant in the Royal Australian Air Force before lecturing at Victoria University and the University of Melbourne, where he taught finance and computing and completed a PhD in financial market forecasting.
​
A member of the Manor Court Board since 2006, Callum has served in several leadership roles, including Chair, Co-Chair and Deputy Chair. Following his retirement from academia, he established a finance broking business specialising in investment property and related assets.
Callum is also actively involved in community service through Rotary and currently serves as Treasurer of the Wyndham Health Foundation.
Guided by a shared commitment to our residents and community, our Board of Directors helps ensure Manor Court remains a place where dignity, compassion, safety and high-quality care are at the heart of everything we do.
Karyn Vines
Co-Chair
Karyn Vines has an extensive and long-standing career within the healthcare sector, working across hospital project management while remaining deeply committed to supporting people and communities.

Guided by a strong belief in connection, compassion, and giving back, she has been actively involved in community service for many years. Karyn is a member of the Rotary Club of Hoppers Crossing and served as Club President from 2023–2024.

As Co-Chair of the Manor Court Board, she is passionate about helping shape and develop a welcoming environment focused on the wellbeing of our residents, their families and our staff with an emphasis on care and community. Â
Robert Fava
deputy chair
Rob brings to the Board extensive experience in business leadership built through a career focused on operational excellence, business growth, and community service.Â
​
With a broad background beginning as a clerk and progressing to General Manager level, he developed strong expertise in business operations and strategic management. Later, applying these skills to small business turnarounds.Â
​
Holding qualifications in a Diploma of Electrical Engineering and a Graduate Diploma in Manufacturing Management, he founded and successfully operated a packaging business from 2010 until its sale in 2024. Â
​
 A committed community advocate, Rob is an active member and two-time President of Werribee Rotary and enjoys keeping fit and playing golf in his spare time.Â
Joy Hall
CHAIR, CLINICAL GOVERNANCE Commitee
Joy is a senior healthcare executive and Registered Nurse with over 30 years of experience across aged care, corrections, Indigenous health and emergency services.
​
She brings extensive expertise in safety, quality, governance and compliance, supported by advanced qualifications in nursing, business administration and industrial psychology.
​
As a lifelong Melbournian and Manor Court Board member, Joy is committed to ensuring older members of the community receive exceptional care in a safe, supportive and high-quality environment.
Steven Taylor
CHAIR, FINANCE
AND RISK COMMITEE
Steve joined the Manor Court Board in 2021 with a strong desire to contribute to the organisation's purpose of serving its local community. As an experienced business leader, he brings expertise in sales, service delivery, organisational transformation and stakeholder engagement, developed across the technology, not-for-profit and professional services sectors.
​
Currently serving as Director, Caseware APAC, Steve leads regional teams supporting governance, audit quality and operational excellence through technology-driven solutions. In his spare time, Steve also enjoys sports photography and classic car restoration.
Nik Tsdarkis
BOARD MEMBER
Nik is Manor Court's longest-serving Board Member, having joined the Board in 2000 and contributed significantly to the organisation's growth and development. He has served as both Deputy Chair and Chair and currently sits on the Finance and Risk Committee.Bringing extensive experience in corporate and institutional banking, capital markets and business advocacy, Nik has worked across Australia and Asia throughout his career.

He is also a passionate community advocate, serving in leadership roles with the Wyndham Health Foundation and various local organisations. Born and raised in Wyndham, Nik remains committed to strengthening his local community and enjoys travel, golf and following international affairs.
David Robson
BOARD MEMBER
David joined the Manor Court Board in 2023, bringing extensive leadership and governance experience gained through a distinguished 30-year career in the Royal Australian Air Force, where he retired as a Wing Commander.
​
He later continued his public service career in financial, resource and workforce management roles within the Australian Public Service.
​
A passionate community volunteer through Rotary and youth development programs, David is committed to supporting positive outcomes for residents, families and staff. Based in Barwon Heads, he enjoys cycling, kayaking and fishing.
Vanessa Hicks is a senior executive with extensive experience across the health, aged care and education sectors.
Â
With a background in nursing, she combines clinical insight with strong operational and commercial expertise. Currently serving has the Head of Business Transformation at Downer Group across major health and aged care services, her remit includes driving operational performance, service improvement and sustainable organisational change.
Â
She brings extensive expertise in governance, contract management, regulatory compliance and delivering innovative, person-centred services that improve outcomes for both organisations and the communities they serve.
