MANORISMS

Our Manorisms give you a chance to ‘sit down’ with the people who call Manor Court home.

In this Manorism, we meet Janice Walsh who shared some special memories with us.

What is important in life?

To always be happy and have a lot of kindness, love, and hope.

What do you remember about your parents and grandparents?

I remember lots of things! My parents were ballroom dancers, and they would take us along when we were kids. Ise used to love watching them, they were great dancers.

What is the most ridiculous thing you have ever done?

Well do you really want to know – because I have lots of stories?!  I could tell you, but I won’t. Let’s just put it this way, I have done some fairly ridiculous things in my life.

If you could go back to any age, what would it be and why?

Being a mum. Becoming a mother to my son was the best time of my life. It still is, even though he is a grown man – he will always be my baby.

What do you like about Manor Court?

Going out for walks with the other residents and getting my hair done every Thursday. I have always loved getting my hair done – it makes me feel a million dollars!

What has influenced you the most?

My mother – she was my biggest influence throughout my life and still is, even though she has passed.
